On 7 October 2013, the city of Ruse hosted a regional meeting of Global Libraries – Bulgaria Program target libraries in Ruse district. The meeting was attended by librarians and secretaries from target libraries in the district, Petar Petrov from Ruse branch of Varna Territorial Directorate of the National Revenue Agency, Camelia Zlatanova, Manager of the District Info Point for Ruse district, Sibil Boychev, Deputy Chair of Ruse office of the Youth Voice Association, Rumen Dimitrov, volunteer who took part in the development of e-services for the district library, etc.

On 4 – 5 September 2013, Albena resort complex hosted the local development forum “The Global Library: a Place for e-Services” – a joint initiative of the Glob@l Libraries – Bulgaria Program, Stilian Chilingirov District Library in Shumen and Lyuben Karavelov District Library in Ruse.

On 3-4 September 2013, Albena Resort Complex hosted a local development forum on the topic “Innovative Public Library Services: in Support of Local Communities” organized by the Glob@l Libraries – Bulgaria Program, Dora Gabe District Library in Dobrich, Pencho Slaveykov District Library in Varna and Prof. Boyan Penev District Library in Razgrad.

On 17 September 2013, Hristo Tsokev Art Gallery in Gabrovo hosted a work meeting on the topic “The Library and Its Partners in Support of the Local Community”. Aprilov-Palauzov District Library, a beneficiary under the Glob@l Libraries – Bulgaria Program, organized and implemented this meeting for exchange of good practices and achievements under partner projects. Meeting participants included representatives of local authorities, cultural institutions, target libraries and chitalishte from the district, local business, NGOs.
