The reading rooms in the Hristo Smirnenski Regional Library were equiped with 26 new computers today under the Glob@l Libraries - Bulgaria Program. Since the cultural centre is already a licensed training center for librarians, some of the computers shall be used in their studies.
The new acquisition shall also be of service to patrons and library workers who may take advantage of the free Internet access.
The program is an initiative of the cultural ministry and the United Nations Development Programme funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The software products are provided by Microsoft.
