On 11 December 2012, N. Furnadzhiev District Library in Pazardzhik hosted the second for this year regional thematic meeting on the topic “The Library: a Point to e-Inclusion”. More than 50 meeting participants had the opportunity to witness the changes in the cultural and social lives of people living in the region brought about with the support of the Global Libraries Program. Attractive presentations by Sonya Konsulova from the chitalishte in the village of Velichkovo, Marena Vaseva from the chitalishte in the village of Radilovo and Velichka Petrova, Chief Librarian at N. Furnadzhiev District Library demonstrated in an unquestionable manner that new technology makes distances to the most remote corners of the world shorter and makes our lives easier and better, no matter where we live. Krasimir Hristov, Regional Manager at the GLB Program Management Unit, thanked meeting participants for their active cooperation and expressed confidence that the successful partnership of chitalishte and libraries participating in the Global Libraries Program will continue in 2013.
