“Keep up with Taxes” at the Library

The Glob@l Libraries – Bulgaria Program is a National Revenue Agency (NRA) partner within the “Keep up with Taxes” campaign.
The campaign was launched in January and will continue until the end of school year 2013. 100 NRA staff and lecturers will visit nearly 100 schools in Bulgaria’s 28 district cities and will present the country’s tax and social insurance system to school goers aged 14–18 years. Following a concrete scenario and presentation, each lecturer will take part in school classes to present some basic topics which will be helpful to young people in the future. The information will also reach school goers from smaller settlements through the network of public libraries participating in the Glob@l Libraries – Bulgaria Program.
The campaign has its own Facebook fan page where brief articles and useful information on topics like VAT Technologies, Types of Taxes, Shadow Economy, NRA Functions, etc. will be published. The “Taxes: We Cannot Do without Them” competition is also part of the campaign. Through the Facebook application, every school goer from the country’s general education schools can participate in the two competition categories – textual and visual. Both poems and essays can be submitted to the textual category. In the visual category, every school goer can express their opinions on the topics through photos or short video content. Further information about the competition and the application deadline is available at: https://www.facebook.com/vlezvchas.
