The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA), supported by the Glob@l Libraries – Bulgaria Program, has implemented an information campaign targeted at milk producing farmers. The campaign aims to inform farmers on how they can produce quality milk in compliance with European and Bulgarian legislative requirements.
Through 959 libraries, 681 of which located in villages, the information about the BFSA campaign is expected to reach the farmers even in the country’s most remote regions. Further information about the campaign is available on the BFSA website.
The information meetings for farmers will take place in all municipalities across the country according to a preliminary schedule to be published on the BFSA website.
One of the first meetings was held in Kazanluk.
In addition to the campaign, the BFSA is currently developing e-services for farmers which will be also accessible via library computers. This is expected to become effective in early 2014.
